The follow up to the band's double concept album 'Subterranea', 'The Seventh House' was initially rush released in 2000 to coincide with a tour to promote the album. Worrying that the album wasn't presented as it should have been, producer Mike Holmes went back into the studio to add the finishing touches shortly after the tour. The title track went on to become a popular live favourite for many years, often closing the main set of the shows.

I own all other albums, but this has grown to be one of my favourites. Very pure and with nicely build up songs. Nick's magnificent guitar play is still raw and hits your bones.. I hope they keep playing forever.. peppers12

The album takes off nicely with David Longdon's "The Strangest Times", but then gets into immediate free fall and deeply underwater for the next few tracks, quite unexpectedly. Fortunately, it recovers with Nick D'Virgilio's "Apollo" (hey, this guy CAN write good music, although he hides this ability most of the time) and the remaining three tracks, one of which is another Longdon masterpiece.
